Position Overview
The APAC Field Operations Information Technology (IT) Delivery Leader is
accountable to execute IT strategy to enable JCI’s APAC Systems
transformational efforts across the countries. JCI’s APAC Systems business
provides HVAC, Building Controls, Fire Protection, and Security Solutions for
customers across the region.
Attributes of the accountabilities of the APAC Systems Information Technology
Delivery Leader:
Strategic Leadership
● Participate in APAC-wide Project Operations transformational roadmap
efforts including annual refreshes of program plans, technology evaluations,
and financial projections.
● Participate in constructing an IT Delivery strategy and roadmap to enable
the advancement of JCI’s project delivery capabilities.
● Cultivate continual alignment of APAC Systems target state business
processes and IT systems with JCI enterprise-wide strategies, including
leverage of cutting-edge technologies.
Project Management
● Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects across the APAC
region.
● Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource
allocation, and risk management strategies.
● Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within
budget.
● Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any
potential issues or roadblocks.
● Implement best practices and methodologies for project management to
ensure consistency and efficiency.
Leadership and Team Management
● Provide strong leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a
collaborative and high-performance work environment.
● Mentor and develop team members, providing regular feedback and
performance evaluations.
● Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the
team.
● Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring
alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management
● Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including
business, vendors partners, and other internal teams.
● Understand stakeholders’ needs and expectations and ensure that project
deliverables meet or exceed these requirements.
● Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings and communications to keep all
parties informed and engaged.
● Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or issues that
may arise.
Technical Expertise
● Leverage deep technical knowledge and expertise to guide project teams
and ensure the successful delivery of IT solutions.
● Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best
practices.
● Provide technical leadership and support for complex IT projects,
including system integration, software development, and infrastructure upgrades.
● Ensure that all technical aspects of projects are executed to the highest
standards.
Risk Management
● Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with IT projects.
● Develop and implement risk management plans to minimize potential project
disruptions.
● Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies and
procedures.
● Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to ensure ongoing project
stability.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related
discipline.
● 10 years in leadership positions leading complex, technology-powered
business transformation efforts.
● Experience across multiple IT disciplines including IT Solution Delivery,
and Program Management.
● Experience with a broad set of business processes and IT systems
including Microsoft Project Management, Project Portfolio Management related
applications.
● Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across cultures, regions and
geographies.
● Experience leading teams consisting of internal and external (outsourced)
parties.
● Experience working in a highly matrixed organizational structure to
achieve business outcomes.
● Experience in leveraging formal governance mechanisms to guide alignment
of business and IT strategies, construct investment roadmaps, and execution
transformation programs.
● Experience in general management practices (organizational, financial,
and operational management).
● Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
